Aspergers, XMRV and Beethoven

Ludwig van Beethoven : cytomegalovirus-mediated hearing loss

In his book “Genesis of Artistic Creativity: Asperger’s Syndrome and the Arts”, by Professor Michael Fitzgerald,
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) is considered to have had Asperger Syndrome.

Asperger Syndrome is an autism spectrum disorder.

40% of those with autism may show evidence of XMRV infection.

XMRV is a retrovirus, and HHV-6A is a human herpesvirus, and the two are partners in crime as far as co-infection in blood cells is concerned. HHV-6A has a preference for infecting a certain type of white blood cells, called lymphocytes : a preference for infection not in T-cells, but in B-cells, especially immature B-cells and immature astrocytes in the spinal cord and the brainstem. XMRV is being accompanied there in those lymphocytic pre-B-cells by HHV-6A, because the two of them together are partners in crime.

XMRV is a retrovirus, and cytomegalovirus is a human herpesvirus, and the two are partners in crime as far as co-infection of blood cells is concerned.

Cytomegalovirus and HHV-6A have very much in common. They share a common evolutionary origin. Both HHV-6A and CMV are the main actors in the interplay between XMRV and the human herpesviruses.

XMRV/HHV-6A/CMV is a reigning triumvirat in the spinal cord and the brainstem : The Hellish Trinity of the Spinal Cord and the Brainstem.

This Hellish Trinity, with XMRV and Cytomegalovirus as the main actors, was responsible for causing all the trouble in Beethoven’s life, which left him with complete hearing loss, or deafness : Beethoven suffered from development of cytomegalovirus-mediated hearing loss, which lead him to depression and alcohol abuse, resulting in alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, all due to a quadruple coinfection with XMRV/HHV-6A/CMV/HCV, and he eventually may have died due to CMV peritonitis and/or CMV myocarditis and/or CMV hepatitis : XMRV-induced CMV myocarditis and/or XMRV-induced CMV peritonitis, and/or XMRV-induced CMV hepatitis.

where on earth did u make the leap from beethoven’s supposed condition and XMRV/CMV/HHV6a!?

i do agree that retroviruses are at play in a whole bunch of diseases though…

It was a leap of faith written by someone other than me but I thought it was interesting assuming that there is some truth to it. If not, then I posted a copy of it in my blog for nothing. It grabbed my attention and it must have grabbed yours too.
